Lois R. Sealock, 89, of Covington, passed away August 26. Mrs. Sealock enjoyed cooking, taking care of her pets, and spending time with her family – especially her granddaughters. She was an independent woman and always lived life to the fullest. Her sister Nina, who considered her a mother-like figure while growing up, remembers the good times they spent together gardening and canning vegetables. Mrs. Sealock cherished her time with her family and always made everyone feel welcome. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Minnie (Wright) Ragan, sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Bill Watson, brother and sister-in-law, I.J. and Helen Ragan; and her nephew, David Watson.
Survivors include her daughter, Beverly Studdard; granddaughters, Kim Studdard Moore, Rhonda Studdard Floyd; sister and brother-in-law, Nina and Wallace Aiken, all of Covington; nieces and nephews, Diann Martin and her husband Larry, Pat Shanks, Ronnie Ragan, Ricky Ragan and his wife Janie, Marie Watson, Randy Aiken and his wife Frieda and Johnny Aiken.
Funeral services for Mrs. Sealock will be held at. 2 p.m., Friday, Aug. 30, at the chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd St. in Covington, with the Rev. Richard Gravitt officiating and interment following in High Point Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home noon to 2 p.m. Friday.
