Linda R. Brown of Newborn, passed away December 20, 2009, at the age of 61. Ms. Brown currently worked as a nurse for Westbury Medical Care Home, in Jackson, where she had been for 15 years. She enjoyed shopping, reading, gardening, and cooking, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Ms. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, John William and Alice Virginia Monroe Roberson. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, James and Laura Kennon of Covington; grandsons, Zach and Sam Kennon; sisters, Mary Ann Williams, Sheila Mae Shiver, Margaret Lynn Hornby, Sarah Jane Cofield; brothers, John D. Roberson, James A. Roberson; and numerous other relatives. Funeral Services for Ms. Brown will be held Wednesday, December 23, 2009, 2 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan, 1215 Access Rd., with interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, December 22, from 5-8 PM.
