John B. Little Jr.

Mr. John B. Little Jr., 77, of Conyers died peacefully June 26, at Emory Gentiva Hospice. He was preceded in death by his mother Sara Bernice Baker Little of Conyers, his father John B. Little Sr., of Cornelia, and his son John Barry Little III of Covington.

Mr. Little is survived by his daughter Lisa Marie Little of Covington; grandchildren Alexandria Little of Covington, John B. Little IV of Conyers, granddaughter and grandson-in-law Victoria and Kolby Tackett of Mount Dora, Fla.; companion Margaret Farrelly of Conyers and Dublin, Ireland; and ex-wife Bertha Little of Conyers.

Mr. Little came to Conyers in 1968 as a paving contractor and was co-owner of the company Little and Upton. He paved much of a still-growing Rockdale County. Mr. Little was an entrepreneur with many business interests in the Southeast that included Trophy Marine, Fieldstone Jewelry and Pawn and many commercial and residential real estate ventures. He was a member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving in the Korean War. Mr. Little was an avid traveler and fisherman but mostly enjoyed time with friends. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

The family will receive friends today, June 28, at Scot Ward Funeral Services, 699 Legion Road, Conyers, from 5 to 8 p.m. and tomorrow, June 29, from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service at Conyers Church of Christ.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, June 29 at 2 p.m. at Conyers Church of Christ, 1410 Flat Shoals Road. Friends preferring to donate in lieu of flowers may send donations to Conyers Church of Christ Youth Fund.
