James Dean "Jim" Motes, 54, of Walnut Grove, passed away on March 26. He was the son of Evelyn Brown Motes Patterson and the late Charles Motes. Jim served in the United States Navy and then pursued his career in a family owned business at Motes Auto Service in Conyers as an auto mechanic for 28 years. Jim was loving, friendly and enjoyed making others laugh.

Survivors include brothers William Motes, Charles Motes, Tommy Motes, Ronnie Motes and Donnie Motes; sister Joenelle Motes Beggs; children Ashley Babcock and Austin Gaddy; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren; family and friends.
