Mr. Homer Durden, Jr. was born Feb. 8, 1940, to the late Mr. & Mrs. Homer (Mattie Smith) Durden, Sr. in Covington, Georgia.

He attended Washington Street School. He was employed by Mobil Chemical and was later self-employed. In his spare time, he enjoyed socializing. He never met a stranger, “June Bug” also loved to ride his motor scooter as his health begin to fail.

Mr. Homer Durden, Jr. departed this earthly life on April 10, 2017. He leaves to cherish his memories; one son, Mr. Tennyson Scott Smith; sisters, Ms. Ruby Kate Durden and Ms. Annette Webb; granddaughters, Ms. Chankeydria Shayon Jackson and Ms. Tinya Bolden; grandsons, Mr. Lazarus Antwan Smith and Mr. Jontavis Sherod Jackson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other close family and friends.
