Mr. Henry Starr Corley, of Covington, passed away, Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at the age of 93. He was born February 19, 1921 in the Starrsville Community of Newton County to the late William H. Corley, Sr. and Leila Wright Corley and was also preceded in death by his brother, William H. Corley, Jr. and sister, Katheryn Corley Mills.  Mr. Corley was a surveyor for the Georgia Department of Transportation and a veteran of the United States Army Airforce.  He was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd.

  Mr. Corley is survived by his wife, Betty S. Corley; son and daughter-in-law, John A. and Rita Corley; granddaughter, Lynn Corley Brooks and her husband Keith Brooks; great grandson, Dylan Keith Brooks, all of Covington; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and close friends. 

A graveside service for Mr. Corley will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2014, 2:00 p.m., at Starr Family Cemetery with Rev. Ruth Healy, Associate Priest of the Church of the Good Shepherd officiating. The family will receive friends at J. C. Harwell & Son Funeral Home on Friday, October, 10, 2014 from 6: 00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Donations may be made in honor of Mr. Corley to the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine, 501 D.W.
