Helen Coady Hamlin of Porterdale, passed away October 1, 2011, at the age of 81. Ms. Hamlin was a member of County Line Baptist Church, but also attended West End Baptist Church, in Social Circle. She enjoyed working word puzzles in her spare time. Ms. Hamlin loved her family dearly, and always kept a close check on them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie E. and Alva (Kitchens) Coady.

Survivors include her sister, Jeanette Coady of Porterdale; nephew, Steve Coady, and his wife, Kim of Covington; nieces, Sandra Bramblett, Viki Brisendine, and her husband, Scot, all of Conyers.

Funeral Services for Ms. Hamlin were held Monday, October 3, 2011, 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 3134 Floyd Street, with Rev. Franklin Kitchens officiating, and interment followed in County Line Baptist Church Cemetery.
