Hazel McIntyre

Hazel McIntyre, 94, of Covington, passed away June 26 at Southern Plantation in Loganville. She was preceded in death by her husband Rayburn Denver McIntyre and parents George Washington and Nettie (Bowen) Smith. She enjoyed reading, sewing and traveling. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

Mrs. McIntyre is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Carmen Duren of Cumming, Bobbie Joyce and Ed Burns of Springville, Ala., Marcene and Dwight Phillips of Covington; son and daughter-in-law, John and Peggy McIntyre of Ala.; sister Pauline Pitts of San Diego; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mrs. McIntyre were held June 28 at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, in Covington, with the Rev. Frank Holmes and the Rev. Jimmy Davis officiating. Interment followed in Lawnwood Memorial Park.
