Ms. Gwenda Lou Parker, 72, of Woodville, Ala., passed away Feb. 14. Ms. Parker was an avid reader and loved crafting and sewing. She served in the U. S. Navy and was a long-time member of AMVETS. Ms. Parker was a die-hard Auburn football fan and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her mother Lilly Mae Kirk White.

Survivors include her father Charles Louis White of Boaz, Ala.; children Thomas and Shelia Sherrill and Regena and Steve King of Covington, David Sherill and Paul and Teri Shipton of Conyers; grandchildren Thomas A. Sherrill, Timothy Sherrill, Matt Cook, Kristin Cook, Brooks King, Hunter Shipton, Luke Shipton; great- grandchildren Gavin Sherrill, Noah Cook, Anslie Cook, Sadie Claire Cook, Beau King.

A memorial service for Ms. Parker will be held at 2 p.m. tomorrow, Feb. 23, at the Chapel of J. C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. before the service.
