Raymond Gregory “Greg” Hickman, 66 of Monroe, died on June 18, 2016. Greg was born in Tifton on June 30, 1949, to the late Marguerite Chambliss Hickman and the late Raymond Dexter Hickman, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Freeman Hickman and their daughters; Leah Hickman Ferguson (William D. Ferguson), Lindsey Ellen Hickman (Jon Paul Davis), Lauren Elaine Hickman (Joel F. Ross) and grandson, William Gregory Ferguson.

A graduate of the University of Georgia’s College of Pharmacy, Greg was the proud owner of Carmichael’s in Monroe and Covington. He loved serving his community by providing the best possible care to his customers. Greg was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who most enjoyed spending time with his family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22 from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Meadows Funeral Home (www.meadowsfuneralhomeinc.com) in Monroe. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Thursday, June 23 at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Monroe. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Boys & Girls Club of Walton County, the Emory University Winship Cancer Institute’s Leukemia Fund – APL PROGRAM, or the First Baptist Church of Monroe.
