Glenda Ann Potts, 62, of Covington, went to heaven on Dec. 25. She has now reunited with her true love and companion Raymond G. Potts, as they walk hand in hand with their Lord and Savior. The daughter of the late John Wesley and Dovie Lee Howard Hughes, she was born in Conyers and enjoyed gardening, planting flowers, fishing and quilting. She loved spending time with her family and will be remembered as an angel, wonderful devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. She is preceded in death by her sister Nancy (Turner) Ricks and brothers Douglas Turner and Thomas Davenport.
Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Mary and Corey Williams of Covington; sons and daughters-in-law Michael and Sherry Blake of Conyers, Matt and Ginger Potts of Covington; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers-in-law Francis and Don Mitchell, Brenda and Robert Morris, all of Conyers, Teresa Taylor and Charles Peppers of Oxford; brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Ella Davenport of Michigan.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 31, at the Floyd Street chapel of Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Potts officiating.
