Mr. Floyd McGiboney, age 77, of Covington, passed away April 30, 2013 at his residence. He was born August 2, 1935 in Covington, Georgia to the late Horace McGiboney and Grace Flanigan McGiboney Dick. Mr. McGiboney was retired from General Motors after 29 years. He loved his family very much and enjoyed visiting with neighbors and friends every chance he could. Mr. McGiboney was a handyman and enjoyed woodworking, upholstery, and working in his yard. He was preceded in death by his first wife Bobbie Duke McGiboney, and his son Marion Floyd McGiboney, Jr “Zero”.
Mr. McGiboney is survived by his wife Annette Preston McGiboney, his son and daughter-in-law; Keith and Terri McGiboney of Conyers, step sons and daughters-in-law; Greg and Stephanie Ketchem of Covington, Lance and Paula Ketchem of Dallas, Georgia, Dustin Ketchem, Dylan Ketchem both of Covington and his step daughter Alex Ketchem also of Covington. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law Lee and Mary McGiboney and sister and brother-in-law Caroline and Melvin Mitchell all of Covington. His grandchildren Jaime and Jeff Meyers of Mableton, Jeri and Jason Poole of Sugar Hill, Jasmine McGiboney of Covington, Paul-Thomas Ketchem and Caroline Ketchem of Dallas and great grandchildren Branton Meyers, Callie Meyers, Zolan, I’ason, Baelin, Aveon and Kielan Poole and Savannah Ketchem and step great grnadchild Devin Forchilli also survive him.
