Mr. Floyd Allen, 76, of Covington, died Nov. 9. Mr. Allen was a member of First United Methodist Church of Covington. He loved to hunt and play golf. Mr. Allen worked for Pennington Seed Company for over 30 years. The son of the late Melvin Allen Sr. and Allie Mills Allen, he was born in 1932 in Newton County.

Surviving are daughter Vicki Allen of Covington; sisters Dorothy Moseley, Elaine Rosser, Effie Taylor; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held today, Nov. 12, in the chapel of Harwell-Wheeler Funeral Home, with Chaplain Jennifer Hornbuckle officiating. Interment will follow at Lawnwood Memorial Park.
