Evelyn Mardelle Brown, age 92 of Covington, died Monday, July 31, 2017. She was born in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Walter Jewell McDonald and Lena Ward Lambert.   She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Childs Brown, two sisters and one brother.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her children: Richard (Janet) Brown, of Covington, Norman (Linda) Brown, of Fayetteville, and Cheri (Steve) Thrailkill, of Stockbridge; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017 at Stockbridge First United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Food Pantry of Covington First United Methodist Church at 1113 Conyers St., SW, Covington, GA 30014.
