  Mr. Eugene Reynolds Gibbs, Jr. was born on March 16, 1978, second born to Mr. & Mrs. Eugene (Betty) Gibbs, Sr.  "Lil Gene", as he was affectionately known as was raised and educated in Walton County; he graduated from Social Circle High School in 1996. He would go on to graduate from Pro Way Hair School where he studied and received his license in Cosmetology. He was employed at Trendsetters Hair Salon, Decatur, Ga.

     Growing up in a christian environment, Eugene joined Knox Chapel Baptist Church at an early age. He was a devoted member of the Knox Chapel Power of Praise and later joined the KCBC Senior/ Mass Choir. He loved his Pastor, First family and his entire church family.
    
   " Lil Gene" was one of a kind; he was a dedicated son, brother and uncle. He has an amazing personality. He was kind hearted, outgoing and very friendly. He never met a stranger. He was passionate about his work and he enjoyed attending and participating in hair shows with his fellow designers and hair stylists. He loved cooking, singing, hosting parties and spending time with friends and family. To know Gene was to love Gene. From the way he walked to the way that he talked, he was unique. He took pride in his attire and he was sure to be the center of attention where ever he went. Gene was truly a show stopper.

    He was preceded in death by a loving sister, Ms. Wylonda Gibbs and his grandparents, Mr. Charles Reynolds, Ms. Cora Gibbs and Mr. & Mrs. Charlie (Lucille) Byrd.

   Gene made his transition from this earthly life on January 2, 2016. He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents; Mr. & Mrs. Eugene (Betty) Gibbs Sr., a beloved nephew, Jadarrius Gibbs, an adoptive- niece, Jasmin Lackey, uncles; Deacon Grady (Lois) McGuire, Mr. & Mrs. William (Doris) Gibbs, Mr. Raymond Gibbs, Deacon Otis Gibbs, Mr. & Mrs. Etienne (Regina) Byrd, Min. Jessie (Ruthie) Byrd, Mr. & Mrs. Mack (Jackie) Byrd, Mr. & Mrs. Curtis (Charlene) Reynolds, Mr. Larry Reynolds, Mr. & Mrs. Darrell (Angela) Reynolds, Mr. & Mrs. Gary
( Meshaunda) Reynolds, aunts; Mary Lewis, Carolyn Byrd, Virginia English, Diane Jones, Mr. & Mrs. Tommy (Julia) English, Mr. & Mrs. George (Barbie) Mathews, Mr. & Mrs. Donald (Jennifer) Hunter, Ms. Lisa Reynolds, Ms. Pamela Reynolds, a special aunt, Hattie Mae (Bump) Gibbs, god- mother, Brenda Stone and a host of cousins, god-children and friends, whom he loved dearly.
   He had a number of special friends; Camilla Boyce, Gwen Jackson, Cheryl Holmes, Trakell Fears, Erica Lackey, Debra McElveen, Wanda Tubbs, Stacey McGuire, Apostle Susie Smith, Natasha Baker, Tocarra Derrickson, Baltimore, Md. Schmeca Mathews, Tuscaloosa, Ala., Gala Whitehead, Laquita Jackson, Debra Bolden, coworkers at Trendsetters Hair Salon and the Birthday Crew.
