Edith B. Parker of Oxford, passed away June 14, 2010, at the age of 80. She was a member of Canaan Baptist Church, active member of the Senior Citizen Sunday School Class, and enjoyed cooking, baking, and crafts. Mrs. Parker loved her church, and nothing made her any happier than sharing her baked goods with others, especially at Christmas. She was a loving wife and sister. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clera (Dennard) Bramlett. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Henry G. Parker; sister and brother-in-law, Martha E. and Buddy McGiboney of Covington; brother, James F. Bramlett of Moncks Corner, SC; sister-in-law, Maggie Lou Smith of Conyers; nieces, Regenia and Jerry Norton, Shelia and R.J. Marlowe, Karen and Kenneth Benson, Ann and Ray Cartledge, Janie and Jimmy Gates; nephews, Jimmy and Judy Bramlett, Eddie McGiboney, Michael and Rebecca McGiboney. Funeral Services for Mrs. Parker will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010, 2:00 PM, at Canaan Baptist Church, with Dr. Scott Caudill and Rev. Thomas Satterfield officiating, and interment following in Lawnwood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Caldwell & Cowan Funeral Home, 1215 Access Rd., Wednesday, June 16, from 5-8 PM.
