Dorothy M. Weiss of Tucker, formerly of Covington, died July 12, 2009, at Emory Eastside Medical Center, at the age of 93. Daughter of the late Frank and Bertha Munger Day, she and her husband were former residents of Kansas City, moving to Covington in the early 1970's. She was a member of The Church of the Good Shepherd, where she served as secretary for several years. Mrs. Weiss was a member of the Episcopal women's group, and the Daughters of the King. She is preceded in death by her husband, Glenn L. Weiss.
Survivors include her daughter, Carolyn Brooks of Tucker; grandchildren, Andrew and Kyna Brooks, Kirk and Alicia Brooks; great-grandson, Ethan Brooks; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service for Mrs. Weiss will be held on Friday, July 17, 2009, at 11 AM with Rev. Ruth Healy officiating and interment in Covington City Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to The Church of the Good Shepherd, 4140 Clark St. SW, Covington, GA 30014.
