Obituary
     On April 11, 1948, Mrs. Lillie Pearl Maddox and the late Mr. Walter John Maddox were blessed with the birth of a handsome son they named James Maddox. "Bearcat" as he was so affectionately known by his family and friends. James was the third of nine children.

       He was known to be a dedicated and hardworking individual. In an effort to assist in providing for his family, James worked for various companies including, the Bibb Manufacturing Company, he recently retired from his Lawn Care Service of many years. A lifelong member of James Paschal Missionary Baptist Church, he was  a member of the Deacon Board, Usher Board, Male Chorus and Sunday School Superintendent, he was also a member of the Mansfield Lodge #295.

       Departing this life on Friday, February 6, 2015, he leaves to continue his legacy, a dedicated and devoted wife of many years, Mrs. Vickie S. Maddox,, his five daughters, Mr. & Mrs. Winton (Pamela) Smith, Mr. & Mrs. Timothy (Yolanda) Wyatt, Mr. & Mrs. James (Tonia) Graham, Mr. & Mrs. Anthony (Arlaniral) Bailey and Ms. Faydra Maddox, mother, Mrs. Lillie Pearl Maddox, five brothers, Mr. & Mrs. Mozell (Mary) Smith, Mr. Charles Maddox, Mr. Johnny Maddox, Mr. Dennis Ray Maddox and Mr. Billy Maddox, four sisters, Mrs. Eva Louise Grier, Mr. & Mrs. Alan (Betty) Bridges, Mrs. Janice Maddox Burdette and Ms. Donna Maddox, one uncle, Mr. & Mrs. Jessie Jake (Catherine) Smith, three aunts, Mrs. Ollie Mae Russell, Mrs. Ida Mae Robinson and Mrs. Minnie Jackson, ten grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren,  four sisters-in-law, Ms. Ruby Durden, Ms. Bertha Baynes, Ms. Francis Shepherd and Ms. Cassandra Cooksey and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends.
