Little Miss Dahlia Jo Minton, age 5, of Jackson, passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 in Riverdale. Dahlia attended Rock Springs Church and Jackson Presbyterian Church. A sweet, joyful child, she loved to make friends, sing, dance, and laugh.
On her father’s side, Dahlia is survived by her father, Jeffrey Minton; sister, Bridgette Irene Minton; aunt, Tiffany Washington and her family; grandmother, Vivian Jo Minton; and her great-grandmother, Shirley Van Meter. She is also survived by her great-aunt and uncle, Marie and Ben Cheloei.
On her mother’s side, Dahlia is survived by her mother, Stephanie Dawn Minton; grandmother, Deborah Nollman; great-grandmother, Charlotte Fields; brothers, Levi Bell and Kelsey Bell; and her sister, Amaris Bell; and a lot of cherished extended family who have provided love and kindness along her journey.

Services celebrating the life of Little Miss Dahlia Minton will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2014 at Rock Springs Church with Reverend Ricky Shephard and Mr. Derrick Tennant officiating. Interment will follow in Jackson City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. Thursday evening.
