Cora Annelle Singley, age 88, of Monroe, died on February 2, 2014. She was born in Walton County on Dec. 10, 1925, to the late Mollie Cheek Wheelis and the late George Wheelis. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Melvin Singley; and three children, Phil Turpin, Richard Thompson, and Deborah Evans.

Survivng are: daughter and son-in-law, Mary and David Carter of Winder; daughters-in-law, Dixie Thompson of Rome and Gail Turpin of Monroe; 8 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Feb. 5 in the Chapel of Meadows Funeral Home, with the Rev. Chris Conner officiating. Interment will follow in Westlawn Cemetery.
