Charles Linton Flowers, 85, of Oxford, passed away at his home on Monday, Dec.25, 2017. He was born in Tifton. to the late Eddie and Inez Flowers. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Robert Stephenson, sister Shirley Ann Flowers Wetherington, and his granddaughter Amanda Jean Flowers.

Charles is survived by his sweet wife LaRaye Watkins Flowers, his sons, Charles “Linny” Flowers Jr. and Jeff Flowers, six grandchildren, Jessica, Jeffrey, Stevie, Linton, Lance, Lee, nine great grandchildren and his brother Mike (Jennette) Barton of Fitzgerald.  Charles was a loving husband, father, and pop. He enjoyed the open air of the mountains, fishing, traveling and the trips to the beach, but most of all he liked just playing in the dirt. Charles proudly served his county in the US Army. He loved spending quality time with the grand and great grandchildren, and his furry buddy of 14 years Dooley.  He will be deeply missed.
