Delays near the South River bridge on State Route (SR) 36 at the Newton/Butts county line can be expected Thursday and Friday due to construction.

The Georgia Department of Transportation scheduled a bridge deck pour for that portion of SR 36.

No lane closures are planned but flagging will be performed on the bridge, weather permitting.

The work is expected to occur between 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday.
