Longhorn Steakhouse in Covington has committed to donate food needed for the Newton County Sheriff’s Office 2013 Toy Run on Dec. 14. There also is a drop box in the restaurant where new, unwrapped toys can be donated for the event.
Ingles at 7173 Turner Lake Road has also set up a public donation box.

A 2003 Ford Ranger, donated by Sellars Motors, that will be raffled is on display in front of Longhorn Steakhouse. Contact information is listed on the truck for anyone who wishes to purchase a raffle ticket.
