A wedding ring, thousands of dollars in cash and a gun permit were among the items stolen from cars in the parking lot of Solid Rock Baptist Church on Brown Bridge Road Sunday.

The Covington Police Department responded to three calls, occurring between 6:30-7 p.m. Sunday evening in which female victims came out to the parking lot and saw windows of their cars busted in.

One victim said she came out of one of the church buildings around 5:30 p.m. and noticed her car was broken into. She told officers that loud music was being played inside the building so nothing occurring outside could have been heard.

Another woman reported her purse, gun permit, a Parallel Bible, checkbook and $3,000 in cash was taken from her truck.

A third victim told police her purse with $3,600 in cash and two gift cards were taken. Also, according to reports, her gold, 1 Ct. heart diamond wedding ring was stolen.
