The Newton County Voters League is hosting a forum at 7 p.m., Thursday at the Historic Courthouse for all county candidates.

The order of the forum will be county coroner, board of education District 2, board of commissioners District 5, board of commissioners District 3, county chairman and sheriff. Each candidate will be given three minutes for opening statements and each candidate will be asked three questions, said Flemmie Pitts, CEO of the voters league.

Questions will come from the event's moderators, but the audience will also be invited to submit questions.

The voters league will also take a few minutes to educate attendees about early voting and other voting issues. Pitts said the forum will be videotaped and run on the local public access cable channel.
