The Newton Arts Association brought music alive to the audience’s ears a week ago, kicking its 2014-15 arts series off with an organ concert. This week, music will come alive through visuals as the Covington Regional Ballet (CRB) Company performs its III: Contemporary Dance Repertory Show.

The show, to be performed Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Oxford College, will also feature guest performers from Lonnie Davis Dance and Druid Hills Dance Center’s Fuerta.

“We are excited to present a new program to our repertoire,” CRB Co-Artistic Director, Ashley Swan said. “CRB has a strong commitment to our local community. The mission of the CRB School is to inspire, educate and develop dance technique for all. This event provides a great opportunity to expose not only our dancers to high quality, cutting edge programming but also to the general public.”

Tickets are on sale now through the Arts Association office (1106 Washington Street, Covington – 770.786.8188) and online at NewtonCountyArts.org. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for senior citizens (65+) and $8 for students. All tickets will be $2 more at the door. A wine and cheese reception will begin at 7 p.m. prior to the performance in recognition of the Arts Association’s corporate sponsors. Audience members are invited to attend.
