The two people found dead inside a Tempie Lane home Tuesday morning have been identified as 66-year-old Peggy Molden and her 56-year-old nephew Donald McCollough.

Deputies from the Newton County Sheriff's Office and EMS responded to the home around 9:30 a.m. after an alert from a medical device came in from the home. When they arrived they could see one person down inside the home.

After making entry they found the second person.

According to WSBTV.com, Molden acted as a caretaker for McCollough who was paralyzed and in a wheelchair. Both aunt and nephew wore medical alert devices.

NCSO Lt. Keith Crum said this morning that investigators are still working to figure out just what happened inside the home that led to Molden and McCollough being shot and killed. He reiterated that the case was being investigated as a homicide.
