A 17-year-old girl was arrested Friday afternoon, after allegedly attempting to shoplift from Rite-Aid. A loss prevention employee from the store allegedly observed Elaine Naschelle Scott remove a bottle of KY Yours and Mine (valued at $19.99) from the packaging and hide it inside a bag of food. The employee made a citizens arrest on Scott and contacted the Covington Police Department. Scott reportedly admitted to the offense and was placed under arrest and transported to the Newton County Detention Center where she was charged with shoplifting.
