A 15-year-old boy was arrested Wednesday after reportedly having a muzzle loader that officers believe was stolen from a car earlier in the week.

Police initially came to the incident after being told there was a juvenile male pointing a pistol at other people. When they arrived the teen allegedly admitted to pointing the gun at others but said a friend had taken the pistol.

Officers had not passed another juvenile on the way there, so they checked a utility room and found a black muzzle loader underneath some clothing near a washing machine. Officers were aware that a muzzle loader matching that description was stolen the day before.

The teen was taken into custody and officers called his father. By the time the father arrived police had also located a BB pistol in the clothing as well. After pressure from his father, the teen reportedly gave his father a jar of black powder and he said he would attempt to get his son to find the rest of the missing ammo pouch that had also been stolen.

The teen was charged with theft by receiving.

Teens arrested after fight about attempted rape
A teen was arrested after he reportedly beat up another boy for allegedly raping his girlfriend.

Officers were called to Walmart on Industrial Boulevard Wednesday night. When they arrived they noticed two teens leaving in a vehicle with their lights off and were able to stop them. They spoke with both of the teens, and the passenger, Cody Thomas Pirkle, allegedly said he had gotten into a fight with a 16-year-old male who had reportedly attempted to rape Pirkle's 16-year-old girlfriend a couple of months ago.

Although some people had alleged Pirkle had a gun, none was found. What was found in the vehicle was an empty beer can under Pirkle's seat and officers could smell alcohol on him. Pirkle and the driver reportedly admitted to smoking marijuana earlier in the day.

He was arrested and charged with underage possession/consumption of alcohol and open container.
