Bobby Durham McCurry, 18, reportedly "slapped and struck" his 61-year-old grandmother in her home on Rocky Plains Road Tuesday morning. This caused the woman to fall, fracturing and dislocating her right ankle. She was transported to Newton Medical Center.

McCurry is charged with Family Violence Act aggravated battery.
