Weather delays flights destined for Atlanta

ATLANTA (AP) — Winter weather has led to flight delays at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

Federal Aviation Administration officials say a ground stop is in effect at Atlanta's airport as snow begins moving through the metro Atlanta region Wednesday afternoon.

FAA officials say a ground stop means flights destined for Atlanta are being held at their departure points until they're cleared for departure. FAA officials say delayed flight arrivals could also impact flights that are scheduled to depart from Atlanta.
