ATLANTA (AP) — Forecasters say strong storms -- including some that could become severe -- will be possible as heavy rain moves into Georgia.
The National Weather Service says the main threats from the Tuesday storms will be heavy rainfall, strong wind gusts and frequent lightning.
The weather service projects that the highest chances for storms in Georgia will be Tuesday afternoon and evening.
Storms expected in Georgia are part of a larger system that caused major flooding and spawned tornadoes and killed at least eight people in Oklahoma and Texas.
