SAVANNAH, Ga. (AP) — Savannah Mayor Edna Jackson and challenger Eddie DeLoach are headed for a runoff.
The Savannah Morning News reports (http://bit.ly/1MHiUXu) that a Dec. 1 runoff is planned after both failed to garner more than 50 percent of the votes in Tuesday's elections.
The Chatham County Board of Elections posted results Tuesday night showing that Jackson was the top vote getter, with 44 percent of the vote.
DeLoach received 42 percent.
