WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Jody Hice (R-GA) was named a “Guardian of Small Business” by the National Federation of Independent Business, a leading small business association representing 350,000 companies nationwide.
This award is the most prestigious honor that NFIB presents to Members of Congress in recognition of their efforts to support small business policies. Hice earned 100 percent for his voting record during the 115th Congress on NFIB's “How Congress Voted” scorecard.
“Small businesses are the engine of our economy, so every time I’m traveling the 10th District, I’m humbled to hear from hard working business owners and their employees who create opportunities for American families," Hice said. “Enabling them to flourish is the fastest path to economic prosperity, and I will continue to fight for legislation – like the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act – that reduces regulatory burdens to help mom-and-pop shops succeed in a free-market economy.”
