BUFORD, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say more than 200 rabbits are being removed from a property in Gwinnett County.
Georgia House Rabbit Society Jacob Lisy told WSB-TV Wednesday that authorities were told of a rabbit overcrowding situation at a business and found one in a kennel that was nearly unresponsive.
Gwinnett County police Cpl. Deon Washington says the rabbits will have to be removed in several trips because local authorities don't have the resources to remove them all at once.
Washington said the owner of the property called for help controlling the number of animals and some will be up for adoption at the Gwinnett County animal shelter.
