Man drowns in Chattahoochee River northwest of Atlanta

MARIETTA, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say they've recovered the body of a man who went missing while swimming in the Chattahoochee River in Cobb County.

CBS 46 reports (http://bit.ly/1evmuUI) that the man was swimming in the river near Lower Roswell Road in the Gold Branch unit of the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area on Friday evening.

Cobb County police on Sunday identified the victim as 20-year-old Devon Harvest of Milton, Georgia.

Police say Harvest went under the water and didn't resurface.
