The Atlanta Journal-Constitution is reporting that human remains have been found Thursday alongside I-20 by Windsor Street in Atlanta.
The remains were found by DOT workers who were cutting the grass.
“I happened to look down and (saw) the bone of a leg, and I happened to look up in there and I (saw) the pelvis and the spine," Clifton Martin, a DOT employee, told Channel 2. "Then I turned around and walked across and that’s when I (saw) the head. I called one of my other co-workers and told them to come down, I just found some skeletal remains.”
Atlanta police investigated the scene. An autopsy will be conducted to attempt to identify the remains and the cause of death.
