ATLANTA (AP) — Authorities say a firefighter was injured during a fire at a pawn shop in Atlanta.

Local news media report that the fire started about 2 a.m. Saturday in a tax service office and spread to a pawn shop on the corner. The firefighter was struck in the leg by an object and fell to the ground.

The Atlanta Fire Department says the firefighter was pulled from the building and taken to the Grady Memorial Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

Two other vacant business sites were also damaged.

No one else was injured.

The Atlanta Fire Rescue says the tax service business owner told them that he heard a small explosion from a lamp, which fell over and started the fire.

Fire officials plan on investigating further.
