ATLANTA (AP) — The driver of a day care van is facing charges after Atlanta police say a toddler was left in the vehicle for about two hours.

Fulton County Jail records show that Shavonda Dailey of Atlanta faces charges of cruelty to children and reckless conduct.

Atlanta police Officer Ralph Woolfolk said the 2-year-old boy was discovered in the locked van outside the New Beginnings Learning Center on Monday after his mother reported him missing.

Authorities said the child was alert, conscious and breathing when found, and was evaluated by emergency medical personnel.

Jail records do not list an attorney for Dailey.
