Glenn Grizzard, cousin of the late renowned author and University of Georgia alumnus Lewis Grizzard, has released a children's book "Uga the Baby Bullpup" about the university's beloved mascot.

Glenn, who graduated from the UGA in 1991, originally wrote "Uga the Baby Bullpup" as a bedtime story for his children, but now the story is available to be shared with future Bulldogs everywhere.

The book can be purchased at the University of Georgia Bookstore and other off-campus bookstores in Athens or on Amazon.com for $12.99. Anthony Barkdoll provided the illustrations and the book was published by Five Points Press in Athens.

"I've always played around with poetry and songs, and Anthony has been drawing pictures to accompany them since we were in elementary school together. To be able to put that together with our love of the University has been very exciting," Glenn said. "My dreams have already come true with the book getting published; if other people are able to enjoy it now that's all the better. I like to think my cousin Lewis would have wanted a copy."
