ATHENS, Ga. (AP) — A woman has told police that a ceramic bulldog was again stolen from the grave of her son, who was a fan of the University of Georgia football team.

The Athens Banner-Herald (http://bit.ly/1e3hUwI ) reports that the woman says it is the second time a ceramic bulldog has been stolen from her son's grave at Athens Memory Gardens since 2012.

Athens-Clarke County police say the unidentified woman found the figurine missing when she visited the grave on Monday. Her son's black granite headstone is adorned with an engraved "G."

Police say memorial items have been stolen from other graves at the cemetery, and patrols on all shifts would be increased.
