ALBANY (AP) - An Albany elementary school principal and her husband are charged with falsifying documents to get free school lunches for their daughter.

Gloria Baker and John Baker surrendered to deputies Thursday morning and were freed on $3,000 bond apiece.

Baker is principal of Morningside Elementary School. She's been suspended with pay while the Dougherty County school system investigates the allegations.

The couple's daughter attends Merry Acres Middle School.

John Baker said he had no comment after the couple paid their bonds on Thursday.
