The only fundraiser for the American Legion Post 32, the fair ended Saturday at the Legion Field just off Newton Drive behind the Covington Y. Traditional rides and games were available, as was regular fair fare, like funnel cakes and the legion's famous BBQ. This year the fair had some new rides, including the Wave Swinger and the X-Factor - a 18-person gondola tat revolves, tips and comes complete with water jet fountains.

All money raised by the American Legion from the fair stays in Newton County. They provide annual scholarships, help out in local schools and with Newton County veterans.
