MARIETTA - Police in Cobb County say a seven-hour standoff at an apartment has ended peacefully.

Officers say a man with a shotgun had barricaded himself inside a unit at an apartment complex on Akers Mill Road Monday evening, along with a woman and a 4-year-old boy.

SWAT teams surrounded the complex. Police say that after officers negotiated with the man for several hours, he finally surrendered at about 2 a.m. Tuesday.

No injuries are reported.
