Coming soon: Workers from McMichael’s Construction ready a 24,000 square foot location in the Covington Corners shopping center, located at the corner of Elm Street and U.S. Highway 278. The discount Save-a-Lot grocery store is expected to open Feb. 10 and hire 20 to 25 employees.

Applicants can apply at save-a-lot.com/careers or by going through local employment agencies, Tomlin said. Save-a-Lot exclusively sells its brands to offer more competitive prices to traditional grocery stores.

Save-a-Lot will not occupy the entire 24,000 square feet.
