The Covington Rotary Club held its 50th annual Top Ten Reception and Awards Ceremony Tuesday evening.

The purpose of the ceremony was to recognize the top 10 graduating seniors from each Newton County School System High School, along with the students’ favorite teachers.

Recognized from Alcovy were Kennedy Addyson Carter and her favorite teacher Linsey Floyd, Katelyn Dawn Holland and Joseph Hastings, Logan Taylor House and Matthew Talmage, Whitney Jeanty and Ryan Denison, Elise Brianne McDonald and John Gomez, Carina Barreto Roballo and Megan Uryga, Vadim Gennadievich Svirida and Anita Anderson and Alex Touzha Yang and LaToya Morgan.
