Hundreds attended a grand opening celebration for Covington's Legion Field Park on Mill Street Friday night.

Food trucks selling barbecue, burgers and lobster were present to feed a crowd that brought lawn chairs and blankets to hear two of the communiy's favorite bands.

The Newton County Band performed in the new bandstand first, followed by Drive Time.
