Prom night is often full of memories that will last forever. One of the most important aspects for a girl is what dress she will be wearing the night of the event. Afterwards, a dress that was worn for only one night is often put in the back of the closet waiting for another occasion to be used that will never come.
This year, Red Oak United Methodist Church on Ga. Highway 36 is hosting an inaugural prom dress swap from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., March 10 for all three high schools in the county. Each girl who donates a dress that is clean and in good condition will receive a voucher to come back the day of the event to pick out a different dress.
The church is accepting donations up until March 9. If enough donations are collected, then some dresses will be for sale at a reduced price.
For more information contact Robin Aiken at (770) 786-4176. Dresses will be accepted at the church at 15105 Ga. Highway 36, located just past Alcovy High School.
