Precious Waters was named the 2016 Newton High School Homecoming Queen Friday night at Sharp Stadium.

Waters was escorted by her father, Melvin Stephens.

Meschack Michel, who was escorted by his mother Martine Crosbie, was crowned Homecoming King.

Members of the Newton Homecoming Court are: Deja Kelly, Taylor Gant, Alaysiaih Clark, Daizha Jones, Kaylah Wyatt, Tamaya Freeman, Lloyd Alexander, Celeste Stringer, Maliyah Hardeman, Jaylon Woods, Marcia Richardson, Zion Milon, Clarence Nichols, Alexis Johnson, Khalid Gavin and Riara Santos.
