Golden girl: The Newton County Animal Shelter’s pet of the week is a beautiful blonde cocker, 2-years-old. Also available for adoption are two Manchester mix puppies, 7-weeks-old, various colors; a 3-month-old heeler mix, black and white; a 9-week-old Lab, black; two poodle/shihtzu, 2-years-old, one gray, one white (Gray has been neutered); five 2-month-old Lab mix puppies, black or black and brown; four pointer mix puppies, 7-weeks-old; one 9-week-old mixed breed puppy, black and white; a beagle/shepherd mix, tan and white with red collar; a 6-month-old Lab mix; a boxer mix named Halo; a 2-year-old terrier mix; eight mixed breed puppies; a shepherd/hound mix, 3-years-old; a 2-year-old chow named Nike; a yellow Lab mix; a blue merle heeler with red collar; a very friendly shepherd, white; a fawn and white adult hound mix; a black and gray Lab mix with leather collar; and a chocolate and white 5-month-old Lab mix named Rocky. She shelter has cats and kittens for adoption as well.
